The Recovery Center is pleased to announce that it has funds available to financially support attendance for Hamilton County residents who are individuals in recovery from mental illness at relevant conferences and training events. These funds are made available through the Hamilton County Mental Health and Recovery Services Board (HCMHRSB) and are designed to enhance mental health system planning and development through informed peer participation. In the past, various advocacy, wellness, recovery, peer support training, and conferences have been supported.
The objectives of the scholarship fund opportunities are:
To support the growth and development of peers interested in peer advocacy and leadership roles.
To allow peers to go to conferences which they would otherwise be unable to attend.
To support the empowerment and recovery of peers.
To insure that peers receive information relevant to advocacy, wellness, recovery, peer support and other relevant issues.    Â
Individuals are expected to apply for any available scholarships and/or reduced rates provided by the conference itself. Certain priorities and other restrictions apply, as funding is limited. Please contact Chris Pedoto at the Recovery Center for an application (241-1411), or click here to download it.
